Standalone systems
Although system integrators are provided with all the products, tools and PC applications to design a wide variety of flowmetering control systems, PROCES-DATA provides a small but powerful “out-of- the-box” flowmeter/controller combination, as a ready-to-use but configurable solution to many flowmetering requirements.
A pre-programmed PD 4000 controller with built-in display and keyboard acts as an operator interface for the monitoring and control of up to three flowmeters. The addition of a serial interface enables a printer to be integrated into the system, which can be used for a variety of services, such as providing a custom designed receipt to a buyer or seller of measured product, or producing a printed report of a day’s transactions.
Such a system can be used 'standalone', as a static or vehicle mounted configuration and is, of course, interconnected using the P-NET fieldbus. As such, it is also a simple matter to extend the communication ability to include PCs for data acquisition and SCADA monitoring and other P-NET modules for additional process automation activities.
